My Film Opening Project - An Animated Sci Fi Film By Cardinal Producktions

                        My Film Opening Concept 

 For my 2 minute film opening, I would love to do animation for my genre. I've always had a passion for animated films and videos. I think animation is one of the most impressive and detail oriented mediums for story telling. I'm inspired by movies like Spirited Away and Coraline for their incredible visuals and use of their animation styles in telling their stories.  I'm choosing traditional animation because I think it is the most versatile form of animation and will be most suited to my needs for my film opening. Although I love other forms of animation like stop motion, I think traditional hand drawn animation will fit the vibe of my concept much better and will be more practical to do in the time span that I have for my film opening.

My production company is Cardinal Producktions. Productions has been intentionally written as "producktions" so it can be a pun on Cardinal, another type of bird. I chose this because I wanted it to be clear that I would incorporate a degree of humor into my project, even if that isn't the main purpose. But, cardinal, along with being the name of a bird, means "very serious or grave." I believe this suits my themes in my film opening well because, even though I want to keep it a bit more light hearted, I want my opening to have more serious themes.

When making my logo for my Production company, I tried to incorporate the different interpretations of the word cardinal into my design along with keeping the concept of filmmaking.
