                                  Jurassic Park Mise-en-Scene Analysis

 For this assignment, my teacher instructed the class to choose a still image from a movie and analyze it for elements of mise-en-scene like camera angle, shot proximity, lighting, color, composition, characters, and staging. I chose Jurassic Park because it is one of my favorite movies. Since it is one of my favorite movies, I have seen it many times. So, I believed I would be able to tie back the elements of the mise-en-scene into the purpose of the scene better. I chose this specific shot because I had a lot to talk about regarding the shot composition and the positioning of the characters in relation to one another. All of the elements of mise-en-scene work together in this shot to help build tension. The camera angle, composition, characters, and staging help show the fear and tense emotions in the scene while the coloring and lighting contribute to the scene's serious tone.
